The late Robert Kelly helped improve medical and educational infrastructures in the Cabécar Indigenous communities of Costa Rica’s Chirripó Valley. Witnessing discrepancies in care in the region, he worked with the Cabécar people and raised funds to build new schools and the region’s first hospital. Through his initiatives, he increased educational opportunities and life expectancy in this remote community of Central America.
