On September 14, 2011, Calgary Police constable Mark Reast rescued two women from a burning house in Calgary, Alberta. While guiding the victims towards an exit, Constable Reast became disoriented. Despite the thick smoke, he was able to feel his way along the wall to find the door and managed to get them all out to safety.
