Sergeant Brian Robert Eadie, M.B.
Constable Jeremy James Falle, M.B.
Medal of Bravery
On June 9, 2008, Ontario Provincial Police Sergeant Brian Eadie and Constable Jeremy Falle were seriously injured when they tried to rescue a suicidal young man, in Martintown, Ontario. Upon entering the man's house, Sergeant Eadie and Constable Falle noticed that gasoline had been poured on the floor. Quickly assessing the dangerous situation, they ran to the exit just as the man ignited the gasoline. The explosion created a flashover that slammed the front door shut, trapping the officers inside as flames spread all around them. Constable Falle shot out a window, allowing the policemen to escape. The young man ran out another door where other officers assisted him with his injuries. The severely burnt victim succumbed to his injuries a few days later.
