It’s An Honour! Cross-Canada Travelling Exhibit Now on the Road
Celebrating Canada’s National Honours,
their Recipients and their Stories
OTTAWA—It’s An Honour!, a new travelling exhibit about the Canadian Honours System, is now making its way across the country. Over the next two years, it will journey to schools, community centres, special events and small towns to connect and inspire visitors of all ages.
Making its debut in late July, the exhibit showcases stories of great Canadians who have been recognized for their extraordinary achievements with such national honours as the Order of Canada, Decorations for Bravery, and Military Valour Decorations. Featuring interpretative panels, multimedia elements and artifacts, this unique space provides an opportunity for visitors to learn more about these honours through an interactive learning experience.
During its preview period, the 1 000-square-foot vehicle has travelled through Saskatchewan and is currently on its way to the Northwest Territories, Yukon and Alberta. Upon arrival in Calgary in mid-September, the exhibit will hold an official launch.
