Canadian Delegates to Accompany Governor General on Visit to the People’s Republic of China
OTTAWA — During the visit to the People’s Republic of China, Their Excellencies the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, and Mr. Jean-Daniel Lafond will be accompanied by 12 Canadian delegates who will actively participate in meetings and discussions with Chinese civil society.
The delegates come from a variety of backgrounds—such as international and economic cooperation, urban planning and architecture, trade, health services, arts, culture and aboriginal affairs—and will meet with their counterparts to share their knowledge and expertise. This will be an opportunity for both sides to increase relations between Canadians and Chinese civil society through discussions and networking.
