Governor General to Receive an Honorary Degree from the Université de Montréal
OTTAWA—Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, will receive an honoris causa doctorate from the Université de Montréal on Friday, May 28, at 2 p.m., during a convocation ceremony of the 3rd round (doctorates).
During the event, the Governor General will deliver an address and present six Governor General’s Academic Medal.
In the evening, Her Excellency will deliver a keynote address at the 20th annual convention of the Regroupement des jeunes chambres de commerce du Québec (RJCCQ). The event will take place at 7 p.m. at the Marriott – Château Champlain Hotel. This year’s convention is hosted by the Jeune chambre de commerce haïtienne, and the theme is “Let’s create wealth for an entrepreneurial Quebec”. For further details, visit the site www.rjccq.com.
