About the Our Land, Our Art exhibition
Our Land, Our Art provides a glimpse of life in Nunavik from the people who live and work there. In order to develop the exhibition, the Avataq Cultural Institute put out a call to seven Nunavik artists to create original pieces of art inspired by the Institute’s collections. Their works illustrate the profound link that connects these artists to nature, to the land and to their communities. The exhibition also includes cultural and historical artefacts that present the history and land of the Nunavimmiut.
