OTTAWA—Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, welcomes members of the public to her second official residence at the Citadelle of Québec this summer. The residence will host a doors open event and provide tours throughout the summer so that the public can visit, discover and explore this remarkable heritage attraction. Activities and tours are free of charge.
DOORS OPEN EVENT
July 14, 2019 – 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Bring the entire family and enjoy an afternoon of fun-filled activities, all while exploring the governor general’s residence at the Citadelle. The theme of this year’s doors open event is “active living,” so make sure to wear your running shoes to take part in a boot camp, an obstacle course, a judo demonstration, a FitBreak or a yoga session. To keep you energized, healthy snacks will be provided. When you need a break, you will be able to explore the residence’s State rooms and get tips from the Governor General’s hospitality experts on how to receive guests for special occasions.
You may enter via the Côte de la Citadelle, near the St. Louis Gate. Once inside the Citadelle, turn right. Parking is free for two hours. Parking is available on a first–come, first-served basis.
