Governor General to Receive an Honorary Doctorate 
from the Université de Montréal

OTTAWA—Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, will receive an honorary doctorate from the Université de Montréal. The event will take place during a Ph.D. convocation ceremony in the Ernest-Cormier amphitheatre at the Université de Montréal on Friday, June 1, 2018, at 2 p.m.


 Because of limited access, media wishing to cover the event must confirm their attendance with the Université de Montréal, and are asked to arrive at the Ernest-Cormier amphitheater (Pavillon Roger-Gaudry, 2900 Edouard-Montpetit Boulevard) no later than 1:45 p.m. on the day of the ceremony.
