Governor General to Attend
the Canadian Science Policy Conference

OTTAWA—Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, will deliver opening remarks at the 9th annual Canadian Science Policy Conference on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at 6 p.m., at the Shaw Centre (55 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa.)

This year’s conference will look at how effectively individuals have used science-based knowledge to meet Canada’s challenges over the past 150 years, and how we should continue to use this knowledge over the next 50 years.

About the Canadian Science Policy Conference (CSPC)
Established in 2009, the CSPC meets an important need for a non-partisan, inclusive, national dialogue on science, technology and innovation policy. Its vision is to ensure systematic connections between Canada’s diverse scientific enterprises and policymakers in scientific enterprises, and policymakers in political spheres, both federally and provincially.
