Governor General to Receive an Honorary Degree from the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston
OTTAWA—Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, will receive an honoris causa doctorate in Military Science from the Royal Military College of Canada (RMCC), in Kingston, Ontario. The event will take place on Thursday, May 20, 2010.
Upon her arrival, the Governor General will conduct the inspection of the guard of honour composed of 100 officer cadets on the parade square at 10:30 a.m. Following the presentation of her honorary degree, Her Excellency will deliver the convocation address in front of the graduating officer cadets and master’s and doctorate degree recipients at the Kingston Military Community Sports Centre Field House at 1:30 p.m.
