Governor General to Meet with Ottawa Mayor

OTTAWA—His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will meet with Ottawa’s new mayor, His Worship Jim Watson, at City Hall on Monday December 20, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. 

Upon entering the Heritage Building, His Excellency and His Worship willview an exhibit of artifacts from the City of Ottawa’s Archives depicting visits by former governors general and by members of the Royal Family.

His Excellency and His Worship will then meet in the Mayor’s office, followed by a meet and greet with members of City Council. 


Media are invited to cover the Governor General’s visit to City Hall and should confirm their attendance with City of Ottawa Media Relations.
