Royal Assent
During a formal ceremony at the Senate, His Excellency granted Royal Assent to bills. In the presence of the Prime Minister of Canada and the Leaders of the Government in the Senate and in the House of Commons, he then signed attestation documents in the Chambers of the Senate Speaker.
