A musicologist and professor emeritus of the University of Montreal, she continues to work in the service of music and Canadian musicians. Active in various arts societies, she was the President and Founder of the Association pour la recherche en musique du Québec and a member of the Montreal Urban Community arts council. Her efforts have been recognized through the awarding of several honours, including the titles of Grande Montréalaise, Chevalier de l'Ordre du Québec and member of the Royal Society of Canada. This is a promotion within the Order.

Full professor at the Faculty of Music of the University of Montreal, speaker and expert commentator. Past president of the Canadian Music Council. She has devoted much of her life to Canadian musicians and music, mainly through her work with the Société de Musique contemporaine du Québec-which she founded.
Deceased on September 27, 2011
