Medal of Bravery
On June 21, 2009, Alex Myros, Nick Romain and McCartney Sealey risked their lives to rescue two people from a burning vehicle, near Angola, Indiana, U.S.A. A teenager was driving her mother and brother in an SUV and lost control of the vehicle, hitting an oncoming bus head-on. The SUV caught fire, trapping the occupants inside. Messrs. Myros, Romain and Sealey, who were passengers on the damaged bus, managed to climb out. They ran to the vehicle and worked frantically to open the driver's door to reach the badly injured girl. Despite the intense heat and flames, they managed to pull the unconscious boy from the rear seat; sadly, they were unable to rescue the mother.
