Governor General of Canada Welcomes
His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the
Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan
OTTAWA—His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, is delighted to announce the State visit to Canada of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on Wednesday, April 29 2015.
“It is a great honour for Sharon and me to welcome His Majesty back to Canada,” said the Governor General. “This is an excellent opportunity to reaffirm our ties of friendship and to strengthen the important relationship between our two countries.”
The visit will commence with an official welcoming ceremony. His Majesty King Abdullah II will then meet with the Governor General and attend a State luncheon in his honour.

An official welcoming ceremony, with military honours, will be held at Rideau Hall. His Majesty will inspect a guard of honour.
