From Space

Eddy goes to space!

During a visit to the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) in December 2011, the Governor General presented Eddy, Eduzone's mascot, to CSA president Steve MacLean and Canadian Space Agency Astronaut Chris Hadfield —who was live from NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, via video conference.

On December 19, 2012, Eddy joined Mr. Hadfield aboard the Russian Soyuz vehicle and journeyed into space to reach the International Space Station as part of Expedition 34/35. During space missions, astronauts can bring with them a certain number of objects from various organizations.

His Excellency has chosen innovation and education as one of the three pillars of his mandate as governor general of Canada and Mr. Hadfield has spent much of his career as an astronaut speaking to students about the importance of pursuing their education. This is why Eddy is the perfect candidate to accompany Mr. Hadfield on this important mission; he represents education and learning through Eduzone.

"Follow my space adventure here!" - Eddy
