Governor General participates in Canada Day Show

Governor General to Participate in the Canada Day Noon Show on Parliament Hill
OTTAWA—On Sunday, July 1, 2012, Their Excellencies the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, and Mrs. Sharon Johnston will attend the Canada Day Noon Show on Parliament Hill.
Their Excellencies will join the Right Honourable Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada, the Honourable James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, and thousands of Canadians and visitors on Parliament Hill for this occasion. The Governor General will inspect the guard of honour and deliver a speech. The show will be broadcast live across the country on CBC, CBC Newsworld, Radio-Canada and RDI, beginning at 12 noon (EDT).
