Governor General to Honour the 2010 Laureates of the Literary Awards

OTTAWA—His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will present the 2010 Governor General’s Literary Awards during a ceremony at Rideau Hall, on Thursday, November 25, 2010, at 6 p.m.

His Excellency will honour the laureates of the 74th edition of the Literary Awards, in the English and French categories of fiction, poetry, drama, non-fiction, children’s literature (text and illustration) and translation.

The Governor General’s Literary Awards are Canada’s oldest and most prestigious awards for English- and French-language Canadian literature. The names of this year’s winners are available on the Canada Council for the Arts website at www.canadacouncil.ca.
